Medical microneedling at our clinic in Norwich involves using a microneedling device to create a controlled injury to the skin, triggering the production of new collagen and elastin.
Microneedling treatments cause minimal damage to the skin and through the controlled injury, initiates the healing process. The treatment is mostly for the face, although can be used to treat skin imperfections on other parts of the body, such as the neck.

Patients will likely notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues.
Most people will notice redness and mild swelling similar to slight sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be slight pinpoint bleeding and/or bruising.
Medical microneedling is safe to use on all skin types and colours.
Prior to the treatment, numbing cream may be applied to minimise pain that is felt during the procedure.
Makeup should not be worn for 12 hours following treatment. You should follow the aftercare advice provided by Joolia Gilvey.
